The Office of Minority Affairs

“A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.”
--(Maya Angelou, poet)

Bernard-McCrary

Welcome to CSU! Attending college is a new beginning and an exciting experience for many students. The Office of Minority Affairs is here to assist you in identifying and developing your “song” so that you can be successful at CSU and in future endeavors.

This office, along with other Student Affairs units, serves as a liaison between minority students and the administration, faculty and staff. We are committed to fostering a campus climate that celebrates diversity and provides assistance for students to make a smooth transition from high school to college.

Throughout the year, our Minority Advising Program gives students the tools they need to succeed academically. Plus, we play a key role in organizing the campus-wide celebration of Black History Month and the annual remembrance of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

I extend an invitation for you to visit the Office of Minority Affairs in Davidson Student Center room 271. I look forward to personally welcoming each of you. Come join the journey, “From beginning to End: Recruitment, Retention, and Graduation!”
